Today 05/06/2026 the Oti Regional Minister, Hon. John Kwadwo Gyapong addressed students and staff of Wankayaw MA Primary and JHS during the annual “Tree for Life reafforestation initiative” event, a ceremonial tree-planting exercise held each year to promote environmental sustainability.
This initiative was officially launched by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama as a flagship government program aimed at advancing afforestation and strengthening agroforestry practices across the country. The “Tree for Life” program is designed to raise awareness about the critical importance of trees in protecting our environment, combating climate change, and restoring degraded lands and water bodies.
