SPECIAL REPORT ON THE CONFIRMATION OF GUAN DCE NOMINEE.
The Guan District Assembly of Oti has duly confirmed it’s District Chief Executive nominee as District Chief Executive today Wednesday 2nd April 2025 at the Guan District Assembly hall as the second in Oti.

He ended his speech by appealing to members repeat the the history that has been set for twice since the beginning of this assembly in on October 8, 2021.
The member of parliament for Guan Constituency, Hon. Fred Agbanyo in his remarks appealed to the people of Guan to prioritize unity in the Constituency in order to ensure even development as they seek hundred per cent vote confirmation for the DCE nominee.
The Oti Regional Minister Hon . John Kwadwo Gyapong in his speech appealed to members to vote hundred percent (100%) confirmation to affirm the tone Jasikan assembly set this morning.
He then task the Hohoe circuit court judge to swear- in the government appointed assembly members to have a complete house of nineteen members for the confirmation.
Hon. John Kwadwo Gyapong ended his speech by urging the Assembly members for Guan to do due diligence by confirming the president DCE nominee, Hon. Godfried Koku Kofie.
The confirmed DCE, Hon. Godfried Koku Kofie who pulled fifteen (15) votes representing seventy nine percent (79%) of the total number of nineteen assembly member, in his acceptance remarks thanked the member of parliament, president regional minister and the Assembly members for reposing confidence in him by confirming him.
He promise to work hard to upgrade health service delivery in Guan district. He also assured the constituents of his commitment to renovate and complete abandoned educational facilities in the district to enhance teaching and learning in the district. On health, he assured people of empowering Community Water and Sanitation to provide portable water for the district to eliminate waterborne diseases.
The DCE added that, he will lobby with Ghana Irrigation Development Authority to develop irrigation system for the district to boost agriculture due to it been the backbone of every successful economy.
He ended by appealing to his Constituents to unite and support him to develop the district.
